The "Re-watchables"

Thanks be to Eric of SquareZero for rescuing me from another Dark Night of the Blog-Soul, and giving me something to write about.
So - my list of 're-watchable' films (ie not necessarily my favourite films, which I may not re-watch) are...
.
1. The Sound of Music
Well, of course. I must have watched it about 60 times, throughout my childhood and now again as my children watch it (having inherited the VonTrapp appreciation genes from their father). This is a truly wonderfully re-watchable film and still has me signing out all the songs and anticipating every line. Just don't re-watch this film with me.
.
2. Ben Hur
Am frankly amazed that no other man has put this down on their list (see comments on Eric's blog). This is the epic of epics, and for those who never saw the last scenes (including the chariot one) due to having recorded the over-3hr film on a 3hr VHS tape - get it on DVD. Charlton Heston's great. And even Jesus makes an appearance. Can't get better than that.
.
3. Scrooge
The musical Albert Finney version of Dickens' A Christmas Carol.
I watched this with my family as a child, religiously every Christmas Eve, for about 15 years. It's marvellous. And always puts me in the Christmas mood.
.
4. Bringing Up Baby
Black and white film starring Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn. About a leopard going missing. CG and KH are fab in this. There's some great lines too - sometimes very funny.
.
5. Bourne Identity/Supremacy
A boys' film. Has to be seen on a big screen - get a projector. Re-watchable as it's so fast-paced you need to see it a few times to keep up. Especially if you're drinking beer at the same time.
The next Bourne film is out soon, I believe. Look out for me in it - I was standing next to Matt Damon at London Waterloo while he was filming it. I am the cool, good-looking one.
.
6. Hoilday Inn
Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire. The perfect Christmas season film. Where Bing first sung White Christmas (ok so its not a Christmas carol, but still nice). Black and white, lots of snow and dancing. Feel good film for "all the family"!
.
7. Big Business
I shouldn't be admitting to liking Bette Midler films, but this has me in stitches every time. A real tonic.
.
8. Seven Brides for Seven Brothers
A thigh slapping, whoopwhooping, all singing, all dancing American musical. 7 boys meet 7 girls. I've seen this film as much as I've seen Sound of Music. In fact - I grew up with this film, and can belt out all the numbers. "Oh bless your beautiful hide..."
.
9. Strictly Ballroom
This is a very funny, cheap budget Australian film. It has to be seen to be believed. Full of purposely cheesy lines and hilarious camera angles. Very re-watchable.
.
10. The Mission
And finally.... just in case I was getting way too musical and dancy... The Mission. Hits me in the heart every time. And whenever I hear the soundtrack.
